You will have the opportunity to interact frequently with colleagues from the portfolio companies and from other functions in Volvo Car Group, including with senior leaders, and you will be involved in several of the strategic focus areas of the Volvo Car Group.

      What you’ll do
Your tasks will include both projects and recurring activities associated with our ownership in the portfolio companies. You will be involved in the preparations ahead of the companies’ Board of Directors meetings and support Volvo Cars’ board representatives, ensuring well-informed decision-making and strategic alignment. You will also lead cross-functional projects related to the portfolio companies and their development, and you will be part of developing our ownership strategies and governance.

In the team, we also monitor the financial performance and funding need of the portfolio companies and coordinate with Volvo Cars’ performance steering structure and business plan process.

      What you’ll bring

You have around 10 years’ experience from project management in large organizations, combined with corporate development and governance, and/or M&A and strategic partnership negotiations including both transactional and operational elements. Preferably, you have experience from management consulting.

You are comfortable interacting with people at all levels and functions, and you are strong at synthesizing input from various experts and stakeholders into findings and recommendations in a structured way. You quickly grasp the essence of complex problems and understand the holistic picture. Further, you enjoy identifying improvement areas and embrace chan ge, and integrity is natural for you. Furthermore, you have a strong business acumen and understand financial concepts and reporting.

Last but not the least, we are looking for someone who - on a personal level - shares our values. Being collaborative, curious, and pragmatic goes a long way.

Let’s get to know each other!
