Job Description

- Handle significant operational budgets and contracts with appropriate negotiation to ensure Aviva’s contractual governance needs are met
- Responsible for delivering a varied and extensive range of complex/high profile/business critical projects that are developed and delivered to a market leading standard
- Accountable for tactically and strategically influencing the business on the most effective way to use meetings and events to achieve corporate objectives and business development
- Use our global event management system: Events-force, and associated record keeping ensuring Risk / Compliance / FCA Bribery and Corruption requirements are met
- Leading teams onsite and at steering groups whilst resolving issues / blockers using professional judgement both in advance of an event and in the moment onsite
- Experience within a major Corporate or event agency environment is essential coupled with an excellent working knowledge of the events industry
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strategic business relationships external to Aviva
- A track record of people management and a proven ability to influence key decision makers
- A positive and inspiring hands-on team player, leading by example, consistently displaying the Aviva Values and helping mentor and support others
- Proven ability to lead, inspire and motivate resource in a high pressured, deadline and results driven environment. Ability to lead effectively on multiple, concurrent projects
- Starting salary of up to £70,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
- Bonus opportunity - 12% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.

Corporate Events Senior Manager

Salary: Up to £70,000
We have an opportunity for a Corporate Events Senior Manager to join our team. This is a great job for someone with excellent project & budget management skills along with the capability for handling key relationships and negotiations, as well as a creative and innovative approach to event design!
A bit about the job:
The Corporate Events team is responsible for enhancing relationships with external audiences and internal employees through the development and delivery of market leading face-to-face and hybrid events (Conferences, Business Entertaining, Exhibitions, Roadshows and Award Ceremonies). This is a high-profile team interfacing internally with senior colleagues across the entire business as well as being the public face and a Brand Ambassador of the organisation at external events.
