What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the development of budgets and forecasts related to headcount, compensation, and vendor spending
- Serve as a financial partner across teams, providing strategic advice and support on financial decisions
- Track and analyze expenses to ensure alignment with approved budgets and identify cost efficiencies
- Deliver regular and ad-hoc financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to improve performance
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure financial data integrity and compliance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, or similar roles
- Proven experience providing financial insights to senior leadership
- Expert financial modeling skills with advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a fast-paced fintech, consumer finance, or tech environment
- Demonstrated ability to streamline and improve financial processes
- Strong collaboration and business partnering skills, particularly with G&A functions
- Experience reporting to or working directly with a CFO or Head of FP&A
- An act-like-an-owner mentality with a bias toward taking action
