      Position Summary...

      Graduate Public Policy Research Associate will work with the Walmart's Global Public Policy Team to conduct research and provide logistical support to the policy team and the PolicyLab.

      In this position, you will be a temporary associate working to provide research, logistical, and strategic support for the Walmart Policy Lab and the Global Policy Team. The Walmart PolicyLab is an incubator of ideas at the intersection of the public, private and non-profit sectors aimed at operationalizing Stakeholder Capitalism. We are looking for 3 summer temporary associate, from June to August, for a total of 10 weeks, 40 hours/week.

      Location: This position will be fully onsite in Washington, D.C.

      What you'll do...

      • Secure advocacy opportunities and logistics for engagements

      • Submit diverse written reporting to Walmart executives

      • Carry out stakeholder mappings in key issue areas

      • Contribute to complex and time-sensitive deliverables and programs

      • Manage stakeholder engagement and outreach

      What you'll bring…

      • You are a candite for a Masters in public policy or international affairs

      • You have relevant globally oriented work experience in business or international relations for private sector, government, NGOs, trade associations, or similar

      • You have experience cultivating and managing stakeholder relationships with trust and integrity

      • You have excellent research and communication skills

      • You are proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • BA/BS in social science, government, international relations, or business

      Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities.       The hourly wage range for this position is $25.00-$46.00*

      *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

      Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
