- Manage a portfolio of initiatives/projects to resolve diverse problems identified by senior leaders at the bank
- Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner for senior leaders across JPMC, collaborating with functional and business teams throughout the bank
- Guide strategic thinking and problem-solving approaches for project teams
- Develop and deliver executive-level strategy narratives, deliverables, and analyses
- Monitor industry trends and share insightful reports and analyses with the broader team and with senior executives
- Coach, develop, and manage junior team members
- 10+ years of experience in business and strategy from either a premier management consulting firm, an investment banking (M&A, Coverage, Capital Markets, Equity Research) division, or another internal Strategy group
- An outstanding ability to analyze problems and apply quantitative and analytical approaches
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and the ability to confidently work well in cross-functional teams
- Interpersonal leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to interact with senior business executives
- Deep expertise with finance concepts, operating models, and a passion for staying current with industry trends
- Ability to organize and prioritize critical issues and information to facilitate efficient decision-making
- Ability to coach and develop junior talent while providing oversight and guidance to high-priority projects
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Economics, Finance, Math, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience applying data analysis to solve business problems in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with cross-functional collaboration, including influencing stakeholders and working with diverse teams
A role on JPMorgan Chase’s Corporate Strategy team provides the opportunity to support senior executives on strategic initiatives aligned with the bank's overall business goals. The Corporate Strategy team is an internal management consulting group that defines and shapes the overall strategy, governance, organizational structure, operating model, architecture, and processes for JPMorgan Chase.
As an Executive Director on the Corporate Strategy team, you will own a portfolio of firm-wide strategic projects, develop trusted partnerships with senior leaders, and collaborate closely with a diverse set of internal and external partners. Success as an Executive Director requires a commercial mind-set, the ability to understand and leverage data assets, and develop actionable business plans and go-to-market strategies for senior business leaders to focus on the most optimal and actionable growth opportunities. You will manage mission-critical projects, including but not limited to: assessing growth opportunities, evaluating and planning new market entry or new product development, analyzing strategic partnerships and inorganic investments, and designing operating models. In addition to working on cutting-edge topics at the frontier of financial services, you will help connect the dots across our businesses, ensuring that we bring the best solutions to our clients. Projects are typically team-based and include close collaboration with the Operating Committee and CEOs of our businesses on a wide variety of initiatives; the Corporate Strategy team focuses on Firmwide projects, Functional projects, and projects affecting multiple Lines of Business.
