What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and maintain valuation models and related tools for the Individual Disability Insurance product line
- Set and maintain valuation assumptions as experience emerges
- Calculate active life and disabled life reserves, and establish procedures for incurred but not reported (IBNR) reserves
- Collaborate with product and pricing teams to implement new initiatives into the valuation model
- Assist in creating management reports and generating insights on morbidity, lapse, and asset performance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
- 6+ years of actuarial experience, preferably in insurance, financial services, or consulting
- Actuarial credentials required; FSA preferred
- Familiarity with U.S. Statutory financial reporting related to morbidity products
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple complex priorities simultaneously
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Prophet actuarial modeling software
- Strong business partnering and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and research solutions and best practices
