- Work effectively as a team with JHL management and all JHL personnel.
- Maintain effective relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Promote and maintain the image and reputation of JHL, ensuring customer satisfaction with top quality customer service.
- Participate in market planning and the implementation of marketing strategies.
- Provide feedback on pricing, service, new products, quality, customer needs and competition to the appropriate departments within JHL.
- Participate in sales meetings and training as requested.
- Initiate customer contact as required and requested, performing timely follow-up of inquiries and quotation requests.
- Assist customers with product selection, pricing and shipping requirements.
- Oversee order entry, submittal, shipping, expediting and billing processes on project jobs.
- Provide feedback on purchasing requirements, product code descriptions, inventory levels and related activities.
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales and gross profit objectives.
- Provide customer service including order entry, expediting, follow-up and other sales tasks required.
- Develop quotations for customers within corporate profit objectives and guidelines.
- Inform the Branch Manager of in-house inventory discrepancies and unusually large orders.
- Provide accurate, timely information as requested.
- Understand method of payment options available to customers, i.e.: open account, cash and credit card.
- Advise customers of problems as they arise in a timely manner and assist with mutually agreeable resolutions.
- High school diploma or equivalent education required.
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in wholesale/distribution/retail sales.
- Background in customer service
- Warehouse/shipping/receiving experience preferred
- Proficient computer skills.
- Solid math and computer skills.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Self-motivated and self-starter.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and collaborate within a multi-functional team.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Detail oriented, organized, consistent and tenacious.

This position will require frequent: bending/stooping, squatting, climbing, crouching, reaching above, kneeling, pushing/pulling, and occasionally lifting up to 50lbs throughout the working shift (the buddy system is highly recommended).
