      Job Title: Country Director - Poland

      Location: Warsaw, Poland. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

      Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

      What you’ll be doing:

      • Develop a deep, local understanding of the Polish market by comprehending the requirements of Poland’s Armed Forces and Security Services
      • Own and integrate the strategic route to market and growth strategy for BAE Systems in Poland
      • Execute a broad opportunity pipeline, including strategic contract awards in key defence and security capability areas, enhancing probability of win through customer buy-in, local partnerships, and strategic commercial models
      • Provide hands-on Business Development support in Poland, managing and maintaining external relationships with Poland’s Armed Forces, government, and industry to ensure a synchronised approach aligned with BAE Systems market strategy
      • Identify and develop business opportunities for BAE Systems in Poland, constantly evaluating the route-to-market to align with business strategies and company policies
      • Represent BAE Systems' interests independently, promoting brand and business growth in the Polish market in line with the European market strategy as a priority growth area
      • Collaborate with the Sr. Director, Europe, to craft and maintain effective Country plans in coordination with various BAE Systems business units

      Your skills and experiences:

      • Possess knowledge of the defence and security environment to facilitate interactions with senior defence and security professionals
      • Have a working understanding of Poland’s defence industrial and technological landscape
      • Basic understanding of the principles of business development in new and existing markets
      • Excellent stakeholder management with a track record of building, maintaining and strengthening effective networks and relationships both internally and externally

      The Business Development Team:

      Reporting to the Senior Director - Europe, in this pivotal role, you will drive profitable growth in the rapidly expanding Polish market. Based locally in Poland, you will work remotely, providing on-the-ground leadership and leveraging your in-depth local knowledge to support our business lines. Your responsibilities will include coordinating engagements, identifying growth opportunities, and navigating local business practices and culture. Representing BAE Systems independently in Poland, you will be a key player in a high-growth market, supported by a leading international team. This role requires a self-starting, proactive individual with experience in the defence market, a solid grasp of Poland’s industrial landscape, and the ability to engage effectively with external stakeholders. Travel will be necessary for client engagements and trips to Warsaw.
