Job Description
- Req#: 20452
- Assist the pharmacist in all duties related to the delivery and distribution of medications.
- Delivers medications to patient care areas or run other errands as needed.
- Maintains working area clean and orderly.
- Under the direct supervision of the Employee pharmacy pharmacist, accurately operates the cash register for collection of cash and charges on prescriptions.
- Must reconcile/record monies, trouble shoot register problems.
- Accurately and efficiently place prescriptions ready for sale/pickup into the hanging bag system.
- Accurately perform prescription intake process.
- Request updated patient contact information and allergies when Pioneer RX system indicates
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while begin sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.
- Included within this role assignment is the responsibility to be a positive role model for all peers always reflecting the WE CARE philosophy.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills and interaction with staff.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
- Demonstrates physical ability required to deliver medications and supplies.
- Demonstrates knowledge of sales clerk duties.
- Demonstrates understanding of PioneerRX system .

Qualifications:
Education/Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional courses in science and math helpful.
Work Experience:
Preferred but not required.
Mental Demands:
Ability to perform repetitive tasks, cooperate with others, take orders and follow directions precisely, and demonstrate initiative.
