Lead and supervise a team of craft recruiters to ensure effective recruitment strategies and processes.
Provide consistent communication with the recruitment team on current manpower requests.
Cultivate and maintain a collaborative relationship with key stakeholders, including site management and estimating.
Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and navigate the complexities of a unionized environment.
Maintain union relationships, participate in union negotiations, and pre-job creation.
Perform market forecasting to identify emerging and potential job opportunities.
Develop and articulate project workforce plans to source, recruit, hire, and retain the required numbers of personnel for project execution.
Conduct weekly meetings to better provide accurate recruitment timelines and forecast personnel.
Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
Research and represent the company at recruitment events, job fairs, industry mixers, school and community events.
Keep abreast of relevant market trends, policies, changes in legislation, and recruitment best practices.
Accountable for measuring results and meeting objectives including time-to-fill, quality candidates.
In addition to interpreting and implementing current company policies/procedures, be able to provide recommendations and develop new policies/procedures.
Ensure craft are in compliance with the company’s drug and alcohol testing program.
3+ years’ previous high volume recruitment experience within the Construction industry.
1+ years’ experience in leading and supervising a recruitment team.
A broad range of recruiting knowledge within the construction or oil/gas industry with experience in high-volume trades recruitment.
Experience leveraging and utilizing online sourcing tools and social media.
Experience with a unionized workforce.
Results-driven, seek accountability, work with a sense of urgency, and possess a drive to win, with the ability to follow through with tasks and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
