What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct thorough credit reviews, including analysis of bank statements, tax returns, financial statements, and credit profiles
- Assess and resolve risk flags to evaluate creditworthiness and repayment sources
- Apply consistent underwriting judgment in accordance with established credit policies
- Collaborate with Sales and internal teams to communicate decisions professionally and clearly
- Monitor industry trends and recommend improvements to policies and processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in underwriting, credit analysis, or a related financial role
- Hands-on experience with cash flow analysis, credit risk assessment, and risk-based pricing
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills preferred
- Solid understanding of underwriting principles, credit policy, and small business lending
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working in Salesforce or a comparable CRM
- Ability to synthesize complex financial data into clear conclusions and recommendations
- Natural curiosity and proactivity in learning market trends and best practices
