What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and approve loan and line of credit applications from small and medium-sized businesses in a timely manner
- Analyze financial data, credit bureau information, and macroeconomic factors to assess creditworthiness
- Summarize and communicate strengths and weaknesses of applications for final underwriting decisions
- Grant approvals in line with delegated credit authority limits and company policy
- Conduct periodic re-assessments of existing loan and line of credit client accounts for renewals
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of lending experience in alternative finance, retail or commercial banking, equipment leasing, or automotive finance
- Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Understanding of risk assessment in a lending environment
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate business financial information and credit bureau reports
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational and time-management skills
