What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Make collection calls on all past due accounts to reduce delinquency
- Contact customers regarding payment status and resolve disputed invoices
- Answer incoming customer calls and provide excellent customer service
- Collaborate with general contractors and profit centers for job-specific arrangements
- Update and amend customer maintenance information as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Knowledge of construction lien laws
- Professional phone etiquette and commitment to excellent customer service
- Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Extensive knowledge of fair debt and collection management
- Some experience with computerized accounting methods
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Strong knowledge of state commercial laws and legal lending methods
- Previous experience in a credit and collections role within the construction industry
