      We are looking to grow our remote Cash Applications team in support of Credit Balances, Overpayments and Refunds!       Requirements

      Summary: This position is responsible for performing cash postings of medical insurance accounts and verifying data for use in maintaining accounting records.

      Training will be in person for 3-5 weeks, and then the employee can move to work remotely from home afterwards. Equipment will be provided, however the employee must have reliable WIFI and a professional working space within their home.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following, other duties may be assigned.

      As a Credit Balance/Research Cash Specialist, you will...
      • Research to identify the root cause of what has gone wrong with a medical claim to ensure proper reimbursement.
      • Work with outstanding credit balances and refunding payers.
      • Determine the correct reimbursement methodology.
      • Work 20-25 claims per day with all insurance carriers.
      • Demonstrate critical thinking skills by working complex claims.

      Education and/or Experience:
      • 3+ Years of Healthcare Credit Balance Experience, Insurance & Patient Overpayments
      • Experience with all Insurance Carriers
      • Refunds Processing Experience
      • EOB Knowledge

      Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic office equipment such as: "EMR" (electronic medical record system), computer, internet, email, copy and fax machines, and telephone.
