Job Description

- Maintain the corporate credit policy and recommend changes to senior management
- Manage Aging reports and reconcile accounts receivable statements and as necessary
- Release credit held orders as deemed appropriate within corporate guidelines
- Manage portfolio of receivables within company goals and help to manage key reporting metrics
- Call and/or e-mail customers to manage late payments, delinquencies and unauthorized deductions
- Conduct periodic credit reviews of customer accounts
- Interact with inside and outside sales teams to assist with service and support for Customers
- Post cash and credit card transactions as needed
- Process credit applications to open up new customer accounts
- Scan credit documents into imaging systems
- Provide invoices and statements to customers as needed
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Good phone and communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced office environment managing a busy portfolio of customer accounts.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications including Windows and Outlook
- Must reside within a 1-hour commute to Woburn, MA headquarters.
Position Summary
Admiral Metals Servicenter Co., Inc. is currently seeking a Credit and Collections Clerk to assist in the Credit and Collection efforts.
Basic Job Function
The Credit and Collections Clerk position is responsible for the consistent application of our credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential new customers, calling customers for payment information and releasing credit held orders as appropriate with the goal of optimizing the mix of company sales while carefully managing and limiting receivables and bad debt losses.
