      Position Purpose:
      Prepare for, manage and/or participate in a wide variety of All Hazard incidents, including both business (e.g. cyber, infrastructure, facilities, and physical security) and life safety based events that potentially expose Centene to significant risk. Recommend, support, and implement risk-reducing actions that protect the organization. Develop critical relationships throughout the organization to liaise in preparation for and support of an incident. Support and enhance the corporate crisis management program by contributing to a framework that aligns complex and essential emergency plans across multiple departments.

      • Prepare for, manage and/or participate in a wide variety of All Hazard incidents, including business (e.g. cyber, infrastructure, facilities, and physical security) and life safety based events that potentially expose Centene to significant risk. Work with Centene's senior leaders to guide and develop potential courses of action during a crisis.
      • Prepare and deliver multi-channel communications related to the Incident/Crisis in person and/or written Executive Briefs, tailoring content and approach to each situation, setting the reporting cadence.
      • Build and maintain key relationships across the organization. Share information as appropriate that enhances Centene's ability to respond and recover.
      • Monitor daily activities that could pose a threat for health plans, specialty companies, or corporate the ability to operate and proactively communicate and escalate situations as appropriate.
      • Review/improve/write plans, policies, exercises and procedures for response and recovery that apply company-wide
      • Ensure appropriate use of emergency notification system and business resiliency and incident response tool including configuration, support, training, and messaging.


      Education/Experience:

      Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Homeland Security, or Business or equivalent experience.

      5+ years of related experience.

      Background in Crisis Management required, Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.

      License/Certification:

      Crisis/Emergency Management and/or Business Continuity Planning certification strongly preferred.

      Pay Range: $68,700.00 - $123,700.00 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.
