coordinator, Global Office for Humanitarian Affairs (PwC)
Purpose
PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Global Office for Humanitarian Affairs (GOHA) strategically responds to emerging and
protracted humanitarian crises globally by identifying critical areas for intervention and leveraging skillsets within
the PwC Global Network to address challenges on ground. Building trust in society and solving important
problems is the mission and purpose of GOHA (PwC). The Office Lead has previously demonstrated this
commitment through interventions targeting health and shelter needs for vulnerable Rohingya communities in
Cox’s Bazaar, response to natural disasters in India, Syria, Türkiye, and Nepal, livelihoods for refugees and
Lebanese community members in Lebanon, as well as projects for drought preparedness and child protection.
In order to expand and document existing interventions globally, the Office seeks support staff to assist in overall
coordination with stakeholders within and outside of PwC. The candidate will have a strong academic background
and work experience in the development sector with vulnerable communities, in conflict regions and in key
development sectors including health, gender, child protection, refugee welfare, and human rights.

The position will be based in PwC Office at Gurgaon
Responsibilities
The support staff/humanitarian affairs coordinator will be responsible for the following duties:
Monitoring, analyzing and reporting on projects in the space of humanitarian developments, disaster relief
and management of emergency situations in assigned regions
Monitoring, analyzing and reporting on projects in the space of development sector, disaster management in
India region
Developing methodology to strategically benchmark and identify regions and issues, including vulnerability
assessments for strategic response and needs assessment of selected crisis based on secondary research
Identifying and establishing contact with relevant PwC territory teams of selected regions. Working as the
primary point of contact between GOHA and other PwC territory firms.
Preparing guidelines related to country based humanitarian response strategies and drafting various written
reports, documents and communications. Supporting the Unit Head with quality briefing reports, annual
reports, presentations and other reports for internal and external dissemination on GOHA’s impact
Planning and participating in pilot projects, assisting in the coordination of international
humanitarian/emergency assistance for complex emergency/disaster situations and in ensuring necessary
support; drafting situation reports and project plans, appraisals of situation to date and specifying unmet
requirements of stricken countries and communities
Under the guidance of the Unit Head, identifying and establishing contact with stakeholders within PwC,
country government officials, other UN agencies, non-governmental organizations, diplomatic missions,
media and others as required
Under the guidance of the Unit Head, serving as the primary focal point on specific projects within the office
of humanitarian affairs; keeping abreast with latest developments in the sector, liaising with other
humanitarian organizations, grassroots level organizations and expertsPwC2
Undertaking and providing support to technical assistance and other field missions, conducting field trips to
undertake in-depth reviews of specific country coordination mechanisms and project status
Preparing or contributing to the preparation of various written reports, documents and communications, e.g.
drafting sections of studies, background papers, policy guidelines, briefings, case studies, presentations and
correspondence with all stakeholders
Anchor communications strategy including joint communications with NGO partners.
Reviewing and providing advice on policy issues related to safeguarding humanitarian principles and ensuring
the effective delivery of humanitarian assistance through the PwC Core Values Framework
Managing grant agreements, risk and independence checks as per PwC due diligence protocols.
Organizing and participating in work groups, meetings, conferences, consultations with other agencies and
partners on humanitarian and emergency relief-related matters
Performing other duties as required
Education
An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or higher) in Development Studies, Social Work, Humanitarian
Aid and Response or a related field is required.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in the development sector, humanitarian affairs,
project management or other related area is required. Field experience in a complex emergency or with
vulnerable, at-risk communities is required. Experience working within PwC in crosscutting themes with SBUs
and experience with Government stakeholders, bi/multinational agencies and NGOs or other comparable
international organizations is desirable.
