What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and execute an effective sales plan for K12 Career and Technical Education (CTE) products
- Create post-sale support strategies for both print and digital products
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop playbooks based on state and district logistics
- Manage the sales pipeline and monitor ongoing customer activities
- Lead customer meetings and sales discussions to close new business and retain existing customers
- Collaborate with sales consultants and regional managers on CTE selling strategies
- Manage the RFP process and build winning proposals
- Deliver impactful presentations
- Coordinate with editorial, technical, and marketing teams to ensure product and marketing plans succeed in the CTE market
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of the product line, digital platforms, and the US K12 market
- Stay informed about competitors to shape product positioning and development
- Involve CTE authors, advocates, and team members as appropriate
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between teams
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree
- At least five years of sales experience
- Highly adaptable and flexible
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong diplomatic skills and ability to support opinions with evidence
- Strong consulting and partnering skills at the district and state level
- Exceptional presentation skills
- Initiative, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Strategic and tactical thinking
- Knowledge of digital platforms and Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to travel 35% overnight
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Five years of K12 sales experience in the CTE market
- Managerial experience
- Experience mentoring and developing others
- Proven major-account sales ability in educational publishing or career and technical education
- Experience with digital sales products and applications
- CRM experience
