  SUMMARY
  What is CTSS V? AFCENT Communications Technical Support Service V. Agile Defense will have an exciting opportunity to support the AFCENT mission by providing a wide range of technical services across the South West Asia (SWA) region. The United States (US) Central Command (CENTCOM) is a unified combatant command, responsible for protecting American security interest in a 21-nation area of responsibility (AOR) stretching from the Horn of Africa to Central Asia. Ninth Air Force (9AF) (Air Forces Central) (AFCENT) is the air component of CENTCOM. AFCENT, in concert with coalition, joint and interagency partners, delivers air, space and cyberspace capabilities for CENTCOM.

  AFCENT Directorate of Communications (AFCENT/A6) directly supports CENTCOM with combat-ready communications capabilities for forward deployed forces supporting Department of Defense (DOD) Missions and Operations. Deployed Airmen and government contractors at AFCENT expeditionary sites are necessary to provide mission critical communications to more than 90,000 joint service and coalition personnel stationed throughout CENTCOM.

  WORKING CONDITIONS
  Environmental Conditions

  • Work hours for OCONUS are typically 60 hours per week. Six-day workweeks and shift-work is typical.
  • These are onsite, no telework positions.

  Strength Demands

  • Light – 20 lbs. Maximum lifting with frequent lift/carry up to 10 lbs. A job is light if less lifting is involved but significant walking/standing is done or if done mostly sitting but requires push/pull on arm or leg controls.

  Physical Requirements

  COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements

  Agile Defense is subject to federal vaccine mandates or other customer/facility vaccination requirements as a federal contractor.
