What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Create templated static maps for technical cultural reports using geospatial software
- Process archaeological field data for CDPR 523 site record sketch maps
- Maintain geospatial vector data and update ArcGIS online maps
- Adhere to GIS procedures and company data structures
- Produce accurate products to meet deadlines
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 2+ years of educational or vocational background in archaeology
- BA/BS Degree or Technical Certificate in GIS and/or 2+ years of work experience
- Experience with geospatial software such as Arc Map, Arc Pro, QGIS, etc.
- Understanding of cartographic and database management principles
- Previous experience in NEPA, FERC, NHPA, ESA, and/or other environmental programs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in reading and extracting spatial data from CDPR 523 site records
- Familiarity with environmental review fields such as land planning, biology, and hydrology
- Exposure to Google Earth Pro, Arc Collector, Arc Field Maps, Survey 123, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products
- Strong communication and organizational skills
