      A bit about the job:

      • Shaping Aviva’s culture and engagement, leadership, learning & careers, and Executive succession plans working with the CPO, Executive Committee, Board and wider business.
      • Accountable for the capability of our people – now and for the future. Building the learning and development for the skills we need today and tomorrow to be a high performing sustainable business.
      • Creating and embedding a customer and performance culture in line with Aviva’s values, that produces tangible customer and commercial benefit, aligned to our strategic priorities, through our people.
      • This is a hugely impactful role working as part of a high performing, delivery focused and pacey team

      Skills and experience we’re looking for:

      • Really good understanding of all aspects of Talent, Leadership, Culture and Capability using strong data and analytics skills to measure impact and continuously improve what we do.
      • Significant experience of shaping and, more importantly, executing brilliantly simple, tangible interventions that make our people and the business better in a measurable way.
      • Strong consulting, influencing and communication skills at all levels including Board and Executive Committees. Good political sensitivity and acumen – able to read the internal and external environment and proactively steer decision making accordingly, acting as an ambassador for the People Function and for Aviva.
      • Brilliant leader and behavioural role model, with expertise and a track record of working successfully within a matrixed, environment, coordinating regional and enterprise-wide initiatives.
