      Utah Valley University is seeking a part-time Food Services Lead to oversee operations at our on-campus Arby’s. In this supervisory role, you’ll help manage daily restaurant functions, including food production, customer service, staff scheduling, and facility cleanliness. You'll play a key role in maintaining a positive dining experience while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and service.

      • Maintains all food production under safe food operation procedures, keeping all food products within the safe temperature ranges described in the Safe Serve food operation manual.
      • Inspects food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices. Conducts with satisfactory result the extra kitchen maintenance and cleaning designated duties. Conducts sanitary procedures to maintain the designated station clean, using standard sanitation procedures in food operation.
      • Maintains, organizes and sanitizes storage areas including dry storage, cooler, freezers, pantry and all other spaces related to food operations. Assists chef in receiving and storage food accordingly to industry standard and chef instructions. Maintains courteous relations with all other kitchen members. Maintains adequate self-grooming. Responsible for being on time and well presented to the designated shift.
      • Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree or any combination of education and/or experience related to the position summary totaling a minimum of two years.
      • Must have a valid driver’s license.
      Licenses or Certifications
      • Food handlers permit within 14 days of hire.
      Knowledge
      • Knowledge of the operation/management of a food service operation or a quick service restaurant
      • Understanding of sanitation principles, and practices related to the food production industry.
      Skills
      • Must be able to understand labels and safety instructions for the use of sanitizing products and cleaning chemicals instructions.
      • Skills in public and human relations including interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
      Abilities
      • Ability to plan, organize, manage, supervise, and direct the activities of a quick service restaurant
      • Ability to follow written and verbal procedures and instructions
      • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
