What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide clinical leadership while addressing the educational needs of new employees, experienced staff, and students
- Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate educational and professional development activities
- Conduct annual educational needs assessments and revise curricula as necessary
- Collaborate with unit leadership to promote staff growth and development using best practices
- Assist personnel in gaining the skills and knowledge necessary for competent job performance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of five (5) years of nursing specialty experience, including two (2) years in nursing education or program assessment/development
- Registered Nurse in the State of Arkansas
- Certification in the area of specialty or obtainable within two years of hire
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance organizations and medical terminology
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s Degree in Nursing
- Experience in an academic medical setting
- National Nursing Certification in the specialty area of the position
