What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage customer service inquiries related to patient account balances and cash collection
- Make outbound calls and receive inbound calls to negotiate payment arrangements
- Validate accuracy of self-pay balances and document payment commitments
- Provide information regarding the Financial Assistance Program to callers
- Collaborate with other departments and external entities as necessary
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a hospital, physician's office, or related healthcare environment
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and PC applications
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare account management with customer service experience
- Detailed-oriented with high-level problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work flexibly in an active work environment
