What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process policy transactions by reviewing new business, changes, and renewals based on established guidelines
- Accurately complete service requests and enter information into the appropriate computer system in a timely manner
- Collaborate with underwriting staff to resolve coverage questions
- Respond to inquiries from agents, customers, and third parties regarding policies or billing in a professional manner
- Maintain productivity and quality levels by working with management to understand processes and procedures
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Two years of office and/or customer service experience, preferably in property and casualty insurance
- Proficient PC skills, including accurate and speedy keyboarding
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including excellent telephone skills
- Ability to keep information confidential
- Proven customer service experience and strong problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Participation in industry-related programs such as IIA, CISR, CIC, etc.
- Bilingual abilities (Spanish, Hmong, etc.) are a plus
