What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers with U-Haul products and services at the center
- Utilize smartphone-based technology for managing rentals and inventory
- Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers, ensuring equipment is clean and inspected
- Answer customer inquiries and educate them on products and services offered
- Prepare rental invoices and manage equipment returns, including installation of hitches and trailer wiring
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to handle physical demands, including moving equipment weighing at least 50 lbs
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and education
- Ability to work in environments with moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in customer service or a related field
- Familiarity with moving and storage equipment
- Certification in forklift operation or willingness to obtain certification
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards customer interactions
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
