What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Answer all daily telephone calls from members, providers, health plans, and other stakeholders
- Collect and document information from members/providers regarding their concerns and provide general status updates
- Verify authorization, claims, eligibility, and status while maintaining confidentiality
- Assist with member appointment scheduling and resolve walk-in member concerns
- Conduct outreach communications via mail or telephone to enhance member engagement
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year of related experience in customer service or equivalent education and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Bilingual in Cantonese or Mandarin
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous work experience in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices
- Experience in handling complex customer service inquiries
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
