What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Answer an average of 40+ calls per day from customers, assisting with questions regarding benefits, eligibility, prior authorizations, and claims
- Utilize multiple computer programs simultaneously to provide effective support during calls
- Resolve customer issues independently, aiming to fix problems within a single call
- Meet call center goals while delivering accurate information professionally
- Collaborate with other teams to address issues and enhance service quality
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience
- Ability to maintain a quiet, distraction-free workspace at home
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in using a computer and good organizational skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare-related customer service role
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Previous experience handling high call volumes in a call center setting
- Demonstrated ability to stay calm and helpful in challenging situations
