What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the center
- Utilize smartphone-based U-Scan technology for managing rentals and inventory
- Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers, ensuring proper equipment handling
- Clean and inspect equipment, checking fluid levels for safety and functionality
- Prepare rental invoices and assist with the return of equipment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs
- Willingness to participate in safety training and use protective gear as necessary
- Must be available for hands-on working interviews
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in customer service or a similar role in the moving and storage industry
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and safety protocols
- Certifications in forklift operation or propane filling (training provided upon employment)
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
