What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both inside and outside the center
- Utilize smartphone-based U-Scan technology for managing rentals and inventory
- Perform equipment inspections and maintenance, including moving and hooking up trucks and trailers
- Educate customers on products and services while answering their inquiries
- Participate in ongoing training and education through U-Haul University
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moving equipment weighing at least 50 lbs
- Willingness to adhere to safety precautions in a work environment with moderate risks
- Availability for hands-on working interviews
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in customer service or a related field
- Familiarity with equipment maintenance or repair
- Certification in forklift operation (training provided)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Interest in ongoing professional development and education
