What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Handle daily member telephone calls, directing them to appropriate services and resources
- Educate members on healthcare processes and problem-solve their inquiries
- Create linkages to the Medical Management Department for service authorizations
- Assist providers with eligibility inquiries, benefit explanations, and claims resolution
- Maintain accurate records of member interactions and follow up as necessary
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent certification
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a customer service-related role with direct customer contact via telephone, email, chat, or in person
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- One (1) year experience in a physician healthcare office environment or high-volume call center
- Knowledge of HMO, PPO, TPA, PHO, and Managed Care functions
