Job Description

- Supervise a team of 4-8 members in a manner that is consistent with our organizational culture, which is based on the 4-I values: Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement and on open communication.
- Support team performance management for solution prep services
- Responsible for hiring for new solution prep team members
- Support training and career planning for team members
- Preparing for and execution of manufacturing batch records, work instructions, and/or SOPs, with focus on "right the first time" executions.
- Documentation of all activities to meet cGMP requirements. Maintain cGMP compliance in assigned work and follow all safety procedures, to include the use of Person Protective Equipment.
- Complete preventative maintenance and work notification tasks on time.
- Equipment testing and routine trouble-shooting of process and analytical equipment.
- Run in-process analytical testing as needed
- Maintain up to date training records
- Participate in other required activities (perform safety inspections, participate in improvement projects, etc.)
- Ensure customer needs are met and high quality service is delivered through a variety of means, including staff meetings or exceeding service levels and through monitoring of the performance, efficiency, attendance records and measuring and reporting on performance metrics.
- Assist in resolving customer situations. Reinforce a customer focused orientation.
- Write and administer standard operating procedures (SOP’s) to support the goals and objectives of the department and the customer. Develops Key Performance Indicator’s, track trends, and implements standard processes.
- Assist in communicating ULS capabilities to promote growth and revenue at customer site.
- Conduct site audits annually.
- Support Practical Process Improvement (PPI) and focus on improving processes with the goal of providing stellar customer service.
- Lead improvement teams and mentor site personnel to lead team improvement efforts.
- Prepare and review various operational reports and individual associate performance reports.
- Gather, collect, and present metrics monthly to key customer partners; Participate and present data and site updates in Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Provide application support and training to new team members, as needed.
- Recommends process improvements, work with direct supervisor to resolve any potential problems
- Proactively address and resolve customer issues or problems in a timely fashion.
- Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality for both customer and ThermoFisher Scientific
- Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations.
- Responsible for all facets of media prep and laboratory support for this service.
- Supervisory/people management experience
- Knowledge or previous work of buffer preparation
- Bachelor’s Degree, or 3+ years of equivalent experience
- Intermediate-level user of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Be able to lift, push and pull 30-40 pounds consistently; may be required to lift 50 pounds
- Must maintain Thermo Fisher Scientifics’ Four-I Values
- Must possess a strong desire to serve the customer and the interpersonal skills to take care of various levels of personnel at the customer site.
- Must deliver excellent customer service to include maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
