What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor and respond to cybersecurity threats using advanced tools like EDR/XDR
- Follow established procedures to manage alerts and contribute to risk mitigation
- Strengthen the organization's overall security posture through proactive measures
- Collaborate with other Information Systems teams to enhance cybersecurity efforts
- Develop professionally in a mission-driven healthcare environment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or an Associate's Degree plus 2 years of relevant experience; or a High School Diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience
- Exposure to cybersecurity tools or concepts through coursework, internships, or entry-level roles is helpful
- Demonstrated hands-on involvement in IT or cybersecurity-related tasks for candidates qualifying through experience
- Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+, etc.) are encouraged
- Must be located in one of the following states: MO, IL, TN, AR, VA
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience with cybersecurity tools or concepts
- Relevant internships or entry-level roles in IT or cybersecurity
- Additional industry-recognized certifications beyond the encouraged ones
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with team members
