What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Respond to Cyber Security incidents, providing cyber threat analysis and reporting to support SOC and program situational awareness
- Actively monitor security threats and risks, conducting in-depth incident analysis and proactive threat research
- Develop procedures and policies for the initial stand-up of a Security Operations Center (SOC) and its ongoing management
- Support Tier 2 operations by monitoring alerts during critical and high-volume events
- Conduct analyses of security incidents to identify incidents of compromise and assist with remediation efforts
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience on a Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT), Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), or Security Operations Center (SOC)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Security
- One or more relevant certifications required, such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, GCIH, or CISA
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
- Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident/Green Card holder, and have lived in the United States for the past 5 years
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with cybersecurity tools such as Splunk, Sentinel One, Armis, and SNA
- Previous involvement in developing and managing SOC operations
- Familiarity with intrusion scope and root cause analyses
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in cybersecurity contexts
- Proven ability to recommend effective process changes to enhance defense and response procedures
