What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Integrate instrumentation and control engineering with cybersecurity principles in the design of the NuScale plant
- Collaborate with team members and management to present technical information to stakeholders, including the NRC and potential customers
- Perform analyses and design decisions to address unique operational and design-related issues
- Conduct cyber security assessments of digital I&C systems and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Develop training materials for future plant operators to ensure safe and efficient operations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in computer science, information technology, cyber security, or engineering from an accredited institution, or 12 years of directly applicable experience in lieu of a degree
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity or digital control systems
- Strong knowledge of Nuclear Regulatory Commission and North American Electric Reliability Corporation cybersecurity regulations
- Experience performing cyber security assessments using Electric Power Research Institute's Technical Assessment Methodology is highly desirable
- Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in instrumentation and control maintenance and testing
- Familiarity with nuclear power plant control and monitoring systems
- Proven ability to develop strong interpersonal networks within the organization
- Knowledge of quality assurance regulations and standards such as 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and NQA-1
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving work environment
