Manage the overall data protection program – be the single point of contact and go-to person for our internal customers and internal Cyber teams when it comes to data protection and progression towards meeting our annual strategic objectives
Lead through influence – develop relationships with key business, IT, and privacy stakeholders who will support the implementation of new data protection capabilities
Provide program management – keep track of initiatives, key activities, timelines, progress towards outcomes, and outcomes
Support technology implementations – work with various technology providers and teams to implement and expand data protection capabilities that align to Cox Enterprises’ data protection strategy and roadmap
Be a story teller – provide program reporting that demonstrates the value of data protection initiatives
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience or 18 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Direct experience within a data protection function in which you were involved with the operation of a data protection function and implementation of data loss prevention technologies such as Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview DLP and Data Classification, Zscaler, and Wiz
Consulting experience, preferably with a Big Four firm
Direct experience implementing Microsoft Purview Data Classification and Zscaler
Possesses the unique combination of technical and program management skills and experience
Possesses ability to clearly summarize problems and tailor messaging for intended audiences

In this role, you will support the development of key data protection initiatives, work cross-functionally to understand business objectives and privacy considerations, and own the implementation of processes and technology to meet the objectives of the program.
