What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Evaluate, design, and implement robust security systems to protect information assets from cyber threats
- Develop and modify security controls to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Collaborate with various teams to integrate security and data governance into the software development life cycle
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to enhance organizational resilience
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability scanning, prioritizing and remediating identified vulnerabilities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a cybersecurity engineering role, working closely with software engineering and dev/ops teams
- Experience in designing and managing layered security programs within cloud architectures
- Proficiency with technologies such as Python, Snowflake, and cloud platforms (DigitalOcean, AWS, or GCP)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with outstanding communication abilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Desired certifications include CCSP, CASP+, CISSP, Security+, and CEH
- Experience with modern network architectures and tools for remote workforce management
- Familiarity with a broad range of security tools and technologies, including EDR and SIEM
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in high-stakes cybersecurity situations
