      Technology and Information Security Oversight Policy & Governance: Cybersecurity Policy & Strategy Intern.
      Are you ready to dive into the world of cybersecurity and risk oversight and make a lasting impact? PayPal’s Technology and Information Security Oversight team is looking for a Security Policy Analyst Intern who will help us fortify our cybersecurity defenses and foster a culture of risk awareness across our enterprise. This is your opportunity to infuse our organization with a security-conscious mindset through strategic communications and policy awareness campaigns and ensure every team understands the vital role of Technology and Information Security policies.
      Key Responsibilities:
      As our Security Policy Intern, you will have the opportunity to:
      1. Shape Policy Excellence: Contribute to the development and implementation of enterprise-level policy directives, processes, and guidelines that safeguard our digital fortress.
      2. Empower Awareness: Craft and disseminate policy directives with the finesse of a communication maestro, ensuring that teams and organizations comprehend the implications for their operations.
      3. Fuel Security Awareness: Collaborate in the creation of compelling security awareness events and campaigns that captivate our organization's attention.
      4. Stay Ahead of the Curve: Analyze media and public interest issues that may influence our cybersecurity strategy, ensuring we are prepared for any challenge that arises.
      5. Craft Information Security Messages: Play a pivotal role in developing and coordinating information security messaging materials that resonate across our enterprise.
      6. Streamline Efficiency: Support the development of our internal SharePoint site, automating processes and lightening administrative loads wherever possible.

      Qualifications:

      To thrive in this role, you'll need:

      • Passion for Learning: Enrollment in a master's degree program in information security, public policy, security policy, international policy, or a related field, showcasing your commitment to becoming a cybersecurity and risk expert.
      • Communication Prowess: Excellent writing and communication skills that allow you to transform complex security policies into engaging and understandable content.
      • Tech-Savvy: Experience with knowledge portal or website development, demonstrating your ability to navigate the digital landscape with ease.
      • Collaborative Spirit: A knack for working seamlessly with cross-functional teams, even in a geographically distributed environment.
      • Analytical Insight: Strong analytical skills that enable you to dissect security challenges and devise innovative solutions.
      • Tech Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft 365 / Office including SharePoint development, proving your technical prowess.
      • Ambitious Aspirations: A keen interest in pursuing a career in Information Security, Security Policy, or FinTech, where your contributions will be valued.
      • Bonus Points: Familiarity with awareness campaigns or event coordination, as well as experience in strategic messaging coordination and communications planning.

      Internship Program Information and Requirements:

      • This is a Summer 2024 Internship program. Spring and Fall 2024 internships are not available.

      • Must currently be pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity Policy and Governance, Cybersecurity Law and Global Policy, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited college or university.

      • Must be returning to school in the Fall of 2024.

      • Must reside in the U.S. during the Summer internship program.

      • Must be able to obtain authorization to work in the U.S. for the summer.
