Help shape the future of cybersecurity operations. CGI is seeking a Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Process & Workflow Optimization to join our Security Transformation Team. In this impactful role, you’ll lead the definition, mapping, and standardization of core security processes, service delivery models, roles, and governance workflows across multiple domains.
Your contributions will be key to driving operational maturity, audit readiness, and streamlined execution, helping our teams operate more efficiently and with greater confidence.
This position offers a flexible hybrid work model and can be based at most of our U.S. CSG office locations.Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Lead workshops with cybersecurity leadership, managers, and SMEs to capture current-state operational processes across multiple security workstreams (IAM, Threat Management, IR, GRC, etc.).
• Develop standardized process maps (Visio/BPMN or equivalent), RACI matrices, KPIs, and operational documentation for each defined security service.
• Identify gaps, overlaps, and inefficiencies in existing practices and recommend process improvement opportunities.
• Align operational models with IT Service Management (ITSM) and Business Architecture frameworks.
• Create operational runbooks for major services to support business continuity, staffing transitions, and audit responses.
• Support the creation of onboarding guides and knowledge transfer materials for security operations teams.
• Define review and governance procedures to ensure process documentation remains evergreen.
• Support external audit and compliance efforts by maintaining artifacts aligned to operational risk management and control evidenceRequired qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 10+ years of cybersecurity, IT operations, or risk management experience, with 5+ years specifically in process definition, documentation, or service management.
• Expertise in designing operational workflows, role definitions, SLAs, and service KPIs for cybersecurity or IT operations.
• Strong working knowledge of ITSM frameworks (ITIL v3/v4 preferred) and security operations models.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma a plus).
• Excellent communication skills to bridge technical, operational, and business audiences.
• Proficiency with tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or BPMN modeling software.
Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,300-$163,600
