      Basic Job Functions:

      D365 Lead Configuration Analyst - FINANCE, you will be responsible for implementation and support of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O (D365) enterprise resource planning solution and its integrated technology products at Nucor. The Lead Configuration Analyst (LCA) will serve as a subject matter expert for the D365 configurations and business processes that relate to D365 “finance”. This role requires business, technical and interpersonal skills, working with end users, consultants, and IT personnel. LCA will also be responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting effective D365 business solutions. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to clearly define current-state processes, work with process owners to define requirements, recommend business process improvements, and document changes to management for approval and end users for implementation.


      The LCA must be able to translate business needs into technical requirements. This role will be responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements using a variety of methods and techniques such as: interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases / scenarios, and business process analysis. The LCA will evaluate information gathered from these sources and be able to recommend solutions based on the findings.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. Equivalent combination of experience and education will also be considered.
      • 10+ years’ experience as D365 AX/F&O Lead Configuration Analyst or similar role, within the manufacturing industry
      • 5+ years of relevant experience in full lifecycle D365 F&O and AX implementations with a focus in Financial Management
      • Experience configuring various modules in D365 F&O to meet business requirements
      • Familiarity with the technology stack supporting 365 and the customizations (X++, SQL, etc.)
      • Experience or knowledge of developing reports or apps using tools like Power BI and Power Platform
      • Extensive experience working in core manufacturing business processes in the following key functional areas:
        • General Ledger and Closing Processes
        • AR and AP
        • Purchasing
        • Cash and Bank Management,
        • Sales Order
        • Fixed Assets
        • Costing
        • Inventory Management
      • Detail and process-oriented approach to problem solving, with a strong understanding of ERP financial processes, especially related to manufacturing and distribution
      • Well versed in accounting concepts pertaining to various types of costing
      • Knowledge of core ERP processes (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, etc.)
      • Able to work independently and as a team member and mentor other teammates as needed

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
      • Prior experience with Manufacturing or Distribution industry verticals preferred
      • Strong business analysis skills with great attention to detail.
      • Detail and process-oriented approach to problem solving, with a strong understanding of ERP data analysis, especially related to manufacturing and distribution
      • Excellent ability to analyze information and think systematically.
      • Strong business analysis skills.
      • Ability to build productive relationships and influence all levels of the organization towards alternative ways of looking at a business situation/solution
      • Able to work independently and as a team member and mentor other teammates as needed
      • Thorough understanding of the company’s business processes and the industry at large.
