Lead, grow, develop, and inspire a team of diverse and talented zero emissions vehicle infrastructure engineers, to deliver an unparalleled customer experience through operational and design process excellence
Build technical roadmaps and define specifications to guide electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) and charge management system (CMS) development specific to the needs of commercial fleets charging/refueling at public sites
Validate new software solutions to ensure customer requirements are met and function seamlessly before deployment
Conduct customer and competitive research and translate the results into technical requirements for best-in-class public charging/refueling solutions
Advise top Daimler leadership and customers on top industry trends and opportunities regarding future commercial battery electric and fuel cell vehicle public charging/refueling technologies
Coordinate with vehicle engineering managers, technical advisors, and teams to ensure EVSE hardware/software and vehicle roadmap alignment
Clearly communicating strategy, priorities, and tasks in team meeting and individual settings.
Serving as a business resource for your department to help define, estimate, prioritize and implement solutions for new business opportunities.
Developing project plans to monitor and track progress; measuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
Regular reporting and communication of project statuses to upper management.
Creating and delivering presentation materials to project stakeholders as required.
Participating in business-relevant project within an international business unit during a max. 3-month international assignment.
Potential for regular communication (e.g. daily, weekly, monthly) with international business units to discuss possible solutions, align approaches, share expertise, and propose recommendations regarding business problems.
Supporting department goals by enhancing methods, processes and standards. Proactively suggesting and developing improvement opportunities for methods and processes.
Identifying trends and recommending proactive or remedial action to manage business situations.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
Fluency in spoken and written English
Willingness to thrive in unknown, VUCA environment
Desire to grow into a leadership position
Ability to relocate and travel internationally
Valid passport or ability to obtain passport within 6 months of hire
Enthusiastic about being at the forefront of customer value driven zero emission vehicle infrastructure
Ability and willingness to work in fast paced and agile work environment

Master’s degree in business or Computer Science-related focus
0-5 years of related experience is preferred
Demonstrated leadership qualities and experiences
Strong desire to work in an intercultural environment
Big-picture thinker who is passionate to work with others and achieve great things for the future
Unafraid to challenge the status quo with fresh ideas and perspectives
Strong technical proficiency with truck products and/or vehicle charging solutions
Strong knowledge in charging infrastructure technology and market overview
Strong knowledge in automotive future trends esp. zero emission vehicle technology

Rather than join a traditional line function, you will deploy throughout the organization and tackle the hottest technology challenges across multiple high-impact, high-visibility projects. This program will place you at the forefront of technology development at DTNA, and will accelerate your career with us. At the conclusion of the program, you will be placed into a full-time position within your home department, undoubtedly with a significant global network and the skills to succeed within the organization.
Your program will begin with a 6 month project rotation in your home department, the Zero Emissions Vehicle Transformation Group (ZTG). In this position, you will be a leading part of Daimler Truck’s new Public Charging Infrastructure team as we collaboratively architect the software and hardware solutions needed to provide a best-in-class customer experience. This team will work hand-in-hand with Greenlane, Daimler Truck’s new joint venture with founding members NextEra Energy Resources and BlackRock, to build a national network of zero-emission vehicle charging and fueling infrastructure. You will work closely with our business and customer strategy team leads to build the technical roadmap for this effort. You will lead a cross-functional team that spans internal departments and joint venture members to design and specify charging/refueling services, translating business needs into technical solutions.

Position offers a starting salary range of $90,000 - $ 115,000 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience
