What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze potential fraud cases and requests for information using claims data
- Support the development of complex cases for referral to law enforcement
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Utilize data analysis techniques to detect aberrancies in claims data
- Assist in provider, beneficiary, law enforcement, or staff training related to fraud analysis
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in statistics or related discipline
- 2 years' experience in data analysis in healthcare
- Proficiency in MS Access, MS Excel, and SAS
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- MA or MS degree in related field
- Familiarity with ICD-9-CM and ICD-10-CM codes
- Experience with health claims data and provider identifiers
