      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Import, export, and combine files using R or SAS to produce reports, statistics, summaries, and figures
      - Analyze fisheries data using SAS or R code for amendments to fishery management plans or to predict season closures
      - Write SQL queries to extract data from Oracle databases for analytical tasks
      - Investigate data quality, identify anomalies, and recommend solutions to reduce errors
      - Participate in interdisciplinary teams for fishery management amendments and coordinate with federal and state data collection partners

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - M.S. in data analytics, statistics, or a related field
      - 6+ years of experience with proficiency in the R statistical language
      - Knowledge of statistical theories, principles, and methods relevant to fisheries management
      - Strong written and verbal communication skills
      - Ability to work independently and as part of a team

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with data collection and analysis in fisheries or marine resource management
      - Familiarity with statistical methods for stock assessments and management decisions
      - Previous experience collaborating with federal and state agencies on data collection initiatives
