      APM (a joint venture of Sony Music Publishing and Universal Music Publishing) is the leading provider of original production music available to content creators, with an extraordinary collection of over one million hand-curated recordings spanning every country, genre, and era. APM is the go-to for thousands of music supervisors, producers and video editors, spanning every market. Our music can be found daily on platforms as diverse as Netflix, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Wondery, and Spotify, among many others. In 2023, as in every year, multiple Super Bowl commercials featured APM music content. In addition, APM tracks have been sampled by the likes of Jay-Z, Dr Dre, Nas, Drake, MF DOOM, and many others. The APM NFT series (a cyclical, limited offering of music collectibles), offered via Dapper Labs, typically sells out within minutes.

      APM's Publishing Operations department is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Data Entry Associate to support our copyright registration efforts. You will process and manage registrations with the U.S. Copyright Office to ensure our music catalog is protected and properly documented. This position requires accuracy, efficiency, and a working knowledge of music copyright and registration practices.

      Key Responsibilities

      Copyright Registration Management
      • Accurately submit copyright registrations for musical works and sound recordings via the U.S. Copyright Office's electronic system
      • Input detailed information including album titles, track data, authorship, and rights holders
      • Upload audio files and process bulk submissions on a consistent schedule

      Data Integrity & Communication
      • Ensure completeness and accuracy of all submitted data
      • Review and correct inconsistencies; respond promptly to follow-ups from the Library of Congress

      Filing & Records Maintenance
      • Maintain organized logs and records for all registrations and submissions
      • Oversee the storage of physical copyright certificates; coordinate scanning and digital filing in the APM database quarterly

      Reporting
      • Generate reports on registration progress, timelines, and outstanding issues as requested

      Additional Support
      • Participate in special projects and ad-hoc tasks within the publishing operations team as needed

      Qualifications
      • Ability to handle a high volume of data entry with accurancy
      • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
      • Basic understanding of music industry and copyright principles
      • Previous experience or coursework in music business or publishing is a plus
