Job Description
- Req#: 237109
- We give ministry away: as staff we are always looking for faithful volunteers who can step up into roles that allow us to expand and replicate ourselves. We look for leaders who can lead leaders.
- We work hard and prioritize our families: with the exception of Easter, Christmas and other “all hands” pushes, we work 5 days a week and have an extended two-day sabbath from Friday through Saturday for weekend required employees that allows us to leave work at work and be with our families.
- We are always improving: we seek new ways of connecting people to Jesus and each other. We are always asking “How could we make this experience or environment better?”
- We are customer first: we seek world class customer experiences that meet people in their mess and surpass expectations.
- We find a way: we cut through red tape, relentlessly seeking to serve the people in our care with grace, perseverance and courage. There is always a way, we just have to find it.
- We assume the best and fight for unity
- Responsible for setting and enforcing data entry policies and procedures so that our database is an accurate resource for where people are on their spiritual journey.
- Database Master Admin tasks involving profile and database clean up, reports, and software update training
- Partner with all ministry leaders to devise and produce reports and dashboards to track all important metrics and uncover ministry opportunities
- Create, maintain, and support workflows, automations, and solutions to remove friction and enable maximum efficiency in ministry processes and initiatives
- Ongoing database training for staff, ensuring our staff can use this tool to effectively connect people to Jesus & each other
- Ensure our guests and members will enjoy interacting with our database directly to give, track their giving, register for events, and connect with the church in various ways
- Ensure that all devices used to support our database access are available, up to date and working properly
- Ensure appropriate levels of access to the database for all users and maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive information
- Consistently seek personal and professional growth through prayer, study, and participation in conferences, workshops, and training opportunities
- Maintain a healthy work-life balance and prioritize self-care to avoid burnout and maintain effectiveness in ministry
- Stay current with trends in technology, tools, leadership, and development, adapting strategies and approaches as needed
- Provide solutions for all staff to work within our primary databases rather than using outside forms, spreadsheets, or other databases
- Develop ministry champions to support the use of the database and technical tools within the ministries
- Utilize tools like Zapier, Monday.com, and others in conjunction with our database to extend our ministries’ efficiency and impact
- Establish, coordinate, and maintain data integrity procedures, processes, and policies that efficiently enhance data integrity
- Respond to multiple user requests for data base support, information, and reporting
- Respond to emails and phone calls within 24 hours of being in the office
- Perform related duties as assigned
- Strive to improve personal and professional skills by looking for and participating in learning opportunities
- Attend a weekly service to stay in tune with the direction of Connection Pointe and to continue developing spiritually
- Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma with 5 years of related work experience
- Three years in an equivalent technical role requiring strong organizational and communication skills, and continual interaction with staff and/or clientele
- Working knowledge of: Planning Center or comparable database software, Microsoft Suite, MacOS and Windows
- Working knowledge (or desire to quickly learn) automation and API connection tools (e.g. Zapier, Make, etc.)
- Demonstration of strong technical aptitude and stronger interpersonal skills so that staff feel supported, both technically and personally.
