Westat is seeking Data Processors to work on a national education study. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated professional who is dependable, has great attention to detail, is available to work 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday), and is deadline-driven.
*This position starts March 2024 and could extend to October 2024, onsite at our Rockville, Md location.*
The Data Processor will analyze the information in high school course catalogs and use a classification system to apply codes to each course listed based on the course content and other course information. The codes will be used to analyze student transcript data for a national transcript study.
Required Skills/Experience:
• Strong textual analysis skills
• Computer literacy
• Attention to detail
• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program or attainment of a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Preferred Experience:
• Previous research and/or analytic experience
• Familiarity with the U.S. high school education system
These assignments are temporary hourly positions. Benefits are based on hours worked and tenure.
