  Role : Data Scientist -I

  Location: Dallas, TX -Hybrid role -NO REMOTE - in-office presence required.

  As an active member of the Data Science Team within R&D, Data Scientist / Data Engineer contributes to Blue Yonder’s current and upcoming SaaS solutions and services offering

  through the improvement, research, design, operations, and development of innovative optimization and machine learning algorithms

  What to expect

  • Work in an horizontal team with our machine learning experts, engineers and project managers to advance our data science products
  • Design and develop data-intensive distributed systems in Python with focus on data engineering
  • We are working with exciting new technologies like Azure Cloud Services, Dask and Snowflake
  • Work in an agile team with emphasis on quality, testability and automation

  Your experience

  • Hands-on experience of Python and its ecosystem around daks/pandas and sqlalchemy
  • First university level experience with micro-services architectures in cloud environments running on kubernetes
  • Passion for building reliable software running in production

  Qualifications:

  • Programming skills – 1 to 3 years (In-depth knowledge of Python, Pandas and its open-source ecosystem or similar)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Physics required. PhD, Master's, is a big plus.
  • Experience as Data scientist and Machine learning engineer with strong AI/ML in Ecommerce or supply chain is required.
  • Experience in Data Manipulation Queries/ data visualization /Big Data is required
  • Experience in Cloud technologies like Azure, Snowflake required
  • Ability to visually present data or analysis results to a non-technical audience
  • Good written and communication skills

  The salary range for this position is USD $ 72,360.00 - $104,922.00.

  The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
