Peregrine Hospitality is seeking a Network Security Engineer to own and operate the company’s information security program across corporate and hotel environments. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role responsible for security operations, vendor management, and enforcement of corporate security standards across the portfolio.

This role blends strategy and execution. The Network Security Engineer will define security standards, manage security tools and vendors including the SOC, and ensure hotel-level IT teams are aligned with and following corporate security requirements. Hospitality experience is a plus but not required. What matters most is ownership, discipline, and follow-through.

      Key Responsibilities (Outcomes & Accountability)

      • Maintain a secure, stable security posture across all corporate and hotel environments.
      • Ensure all systems, endpoints, and platforms are fully patched, monitored, and protected according to corporate standards.
      • Keep all security tools and monitoring solutions operating effectively, with issues identified and resolved proactively.
      • Define, maintain, and enforce corporate security standards across the hotel portfolio.
      • Hold property-level IT teams accountable for compliance with corporate security requirements.
      • Manage all security vendors, including SOC providers, to ensure performance, coverage, and rapid response.
      • Lead and coordinate security incident response, remediation, and follow-up actions.
      • Build, execute, and continuously refine the company’s security strategy.
      • Identify security risks early and implement practical controls to reduce exposure.
      • Ensure security practices are sustainable, auditable, and consistently followed.

      Team Structure & Scope

This is a hands-on individual contributor role with broad ownership. The Network Security Engineer is expected to build the security strategy, execute it, and maintain ongoing operations independently while partnering closely with IT, hotel teams, and external vendors.

      Qualifications

      • 7+ years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, or security engineering roles.
      • Strong experience with security patching, vulnerability management, and endpoint protection.
      • Experience managing third-party security vendors, including SOC providers.
      • Proven ability to define security standards and enforce them across distributed environments.
      • Strong understanding of security controls across networks, systems, and endpoints.
      • Highly self-motivated with the ability to operate independently and take full ownership of outcomes.
      • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

      Preferred Experience

      • Experience supporting hospitality, multi-site, or distributed operational environments.
      • Experience working with hotel IT teams or field-based technology organizations.
      • Familiarity with security frameworks, compliance standards, and best practices.
      • Experience building or maturing an enterprise security program.

      Why Join Peregrine Hospitality

This role offers the opportunity to take true ownership of security across a growing hospitality portfolio. The Data Security Engineer will play a critical role in protecting systems, data, and operations while building a pragmatic security program that works in real-world hotel environments.
