- The Data Services Chapter Lead - Value stream will lead a specialist chapter in a value stream working with stakeholders to understand their insights and requirements to plan and deliver data services on the data and analytics platform.

- Provide inputs into Strategy and Planning for ongoing development of data foundation.
- Responsible for working with business function/value stream stakeholders and planning the delivery for all data services and products to cater to insights requirements for a specific function or value stream (e.g., Claims).
- Owning the execution of end-to-end delivery plan, for all the projects in the Chapter. Leading end to end programs and managing the progress, risks, and dependencies with projects in other chapters.
- Collaborating with key business stakeholders in aligned value stream (e.g., Claims) in understanding, managing, and delivering to expectations of the value stream.
- Responsible for leading team of data specialists and data analysts to deliver data services for the chapter, including projects and BAU (level 3 support and ad-hoc data service requests).
- Activities conducted by the chapter team in delivery of data services would include but not limited to working with source system experts in identifying sources of data, validating data, analysis of data, identification, sourcing, cleansing and manipulation of data across the operational systems and the data and analytics platform; design and development of data assets and products (data models, data pipelines) to address insights requirements; testing and deployment of the data assets and handover for level 1 and level 2 support to data platforms team in IT.
- Extensive consultative skills and experience in managing stakeholder expectations, complex problem solving, planning and delivery execution.
- Experience in delivery of data products (data schemas, pipelines, APIs, marts) in complex enterprise data warehouse and lake environments.
- Experience in leading delivery of data products on a new cloud data platform, along with migration from legacy platforms.
- Extensive experience in cloud data analytics technologies - Databricks, Azure ADF.
- Experience using: MS Stack: Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI and SQL.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, planning, execution skills.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team/teams of data experts for end-to-end delivery.
- Passionate in learning about new data tools and best practice.
- Experience in working in Agile teams, able to lead a team and working independently.
- Strong working knowledge of the end-to-end data management lifecycle and data quality management.
- Preferable - experience working MongoDB, Graph databases, programming languages (R, Python, Spark ETL SQL VStudio), CI/tools (Bamboo, or similar), GitHub, Jira and Confluence.
- Preferable – experience in Insurance industry.

Your new role
As the Data Services team commences its ambitious transformation journey to deliver future ready data foundation, we are establishing value stream (e.g. Claims, Underwriting) aligned chapters to provide dedicated data service leadership to each value stream. The Data Services Chapter Lead - Value stream will lead a specialist chapter aligned to a value stream to further deliver data services on the data and analytics platform. The chapter delivers required data services on the data platform by understanding the core system data structures, data processing required and designing and developing data pipelines, data models and data products to meet specific business insights requirements. In addition, chapter will also work closely with the data science team to design and deliver data services and products features required to support the development of machine learning models.
Reporting to the Head of Data services, you would lead a highly skilled team of senior data solution designers, data engineers, data BAs, and testers to deliver end to end data services cycle from planning to design, development and deployment of all data assets required for the value stream requirements.

Advanced communication skills, able to articulate, present, influence and negotiate with key stakeholders. Knowledge and understanding of end-to-end data engineering lifecycle and data quality management. A flair for uplifting standards and continuous improvement of data delivery practices.
