      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Administer, configure, and maintain Oracle and SQL Server databases supporting mission systems.
      - Monitor and tune database performance to ensure optimal efficiency and high availability.
      - Develop, test, and implement database backup and recovery strategies to support continuity of operations.
      - Collaborate with application developers, systems engineers, and cybersecurity personnel to integrate database services securely.
      - Troubleshoot complex database and application integration issues, providing tier III support as needed.

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Must possess an active Secret clearance and be eligible for IT-I (Tier 5/SSBI) / Critical Sensitive access. U.S. Citizenship required.
      - Minimum educational requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
      - Five (5) or more years of progressive experience managing enterprise database systems using Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
      - Three (3) or more years of hands-on experience in Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) administration.
      - Proficiency in Oracle 19c or later, including configuration, security, and performance optimization in enterprise environments.

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Additional certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, or AWS Database Specialty.
      - Five (5) years of hands-on experience supporting DoD IT hosting or enterprise database solutions.
      - Expertise with Oracle 19c+ installation, tuning, and management in cloud and on-premise environments.
      - Familiarity with database performance monitoring and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or custom scripts.
      - Ability to mentor junior DBAs and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams in a mission-focused environment.
